The Isaac Project

CALL OUT FOR ISAAC PERFORMERS TO TAKE PART IN QMF’S SPECTACULAR OUTDOOR EVENT “THE ISAAC PROJECT”

Are you a singer, instrumentalist, music group, performer or dancer living in Isaac? We want you to be part of the Queensland Music Festival 2017!

Queensland Music Festival is set to stage a free spectacular outdoor concert on the outskirts of Moranbah in July, 2017.

The concert will follow months of community engagement across Middlemount, Dysart, Clermont, Moranbah and Nebo.  Workshops and rehearsals will take place in each of these communities culminating in the coming together of the large cast for preproduction and presentation.

The research process has commenced as QMF’s creative team are gathering stories, histories, dreams and aspirations to weave together a production that will be unique to Isaac.

Since 1999 the Festival has engaged audiences of more than a million people through projects in 82 regions across the State.

QMF has redefined the traditional festival model to engage deeply with communities over time, igniting artistic potential and leaving a lasting legacy.

In collaboration with councils and communities, QMF inspires participation in music making and performances that reflect local culture and tell local stories.
