Flying Facts

Flying Facts

Liz Lea’s Flying Facts is a visually stunning contemporary dance performance exploring the history and travels of Australian aviation and the science of how birds and planes fly, set to rare archival voice and film. It is a beautiful, poignant and captivating audio-visual celebration of man, woman and bird, suitable for students of all ages.

This all-Australian story combines the arts, history and science, giving students the opportunity to experience and appreciate a delightful exploration of dance and the magic of flight.

Liz Lea is a performer and choreographer who directs Liz Lea Dance and Canberra Dance Theatre. She trained at London Contemporary Dance School, Akademi in London and Darpana Academy in India. Liz has worked for the Royal Opera House and English National Opera, and was Choreographer in Residence at CSIRO Discovery and directed the first DANscienCE symposium.

Accompanying workshops of contemporary dance, classical Indian and/or yoga (for all ages and abilities) will be available on request.
