This interactive hip hop show includes plenty of opportunities to get on stage, and dance along with MC Platypus, who wants to stand out in the crowd with the acceptance of her peers.
Starring sisters Candy and Kim Bowers as musical marsupials, MC Platypus and DJ Queen Koala, uses music, poetry, rap and comedy to entertain the crowd. With strong links to English and Arts curriculum, this heartwarming story also enhances student’s ethical understanding, and personal and social capabilities.
Recipient of a 2017 Helpmann Award, playwright, actor and comedian Candy Bowers empowers students through positive messages of self-care, confidence, friendship and emotional literacy.

All of our performances are the same price for all regions. We are a not-for-profit organisation passionate about providing quality Arts experiences to all Queensland students, so if your school has less than 100 students, please consider combining with another school or contact the Youth Touring team to discuss your options.

For lovers of poetry, music, theatre and drama, this is a fun and interactive workshop with a funky twist. Candy B mixes drama and hip hop together to develop student’s expressive skills. Technical aspects such as voice, rhythm and physicality
are explored alongside character and comedy.
