JOIN THE QMF JOURNEY: EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES THROUGH MUSIC

Queensland Music Festival has a vision to transform lives and communities through music.

We are a global leader in community engagement, having reached more than a million people through projects in over 100 regions.

“Your support plays an ever-increasing role in delivering high-quality arts experiences to our communities. We invite you to join the QMF journey.” – Katie Noonan, Artistic Director

Social Impact

QMF Artistic Director Katie Noonan is passionate about the role of the arts in driving social change, believing we have a responsibility to use the power of music to bring communities together in unique and transformative ways. Many of QMF’s projects are developed with, for and by communities, raising awareness of important issues and celebrating local culture.

Future Music

Supporting Australian artists ensures our stories are told on the world stage. Original music connects us by evoking a shared sense of identity. QMF has commissioned more than 120 works in over 40 Queensland localities, and offers a wide range of professional development and educational opportunities for emerging and established Australian artists.

Youth and Education

Support our goal to increase access to performing arts experiences for regional and remote schools, often restricted due to distance, expensive travel and economic disadvantage. Arts education is recognised globally as integral to developing life skills including flexibility, critical thinking, communication and teamwork. Further, research shows that the arts nurture creativity, empathy and compassion in young minds.

Indigenous Champions

Help First Nations communities develop and sustain initiatives which promote local culture and economic opportunity. QMF works year-round with Indigenous communities to deliver educational, economic and well-being benefits. QMF’s suite of projects and programs develop and promote local artists and build capacity.
