The Yarrabah Band Festival, presented by Queensland Music Festival and the Yarrabah Aboriginal Shire Council returns again for another year, on Saturday 3 November 2018 at Jilara Oval.
We are calling for expression on interests for performers, stall holders, events crew and security.
PERFORMER CALL OUT
Would you like to perform at this year’s Festival? We are inviting local BANDS and ACTS and those interested in MC-ing to register their interest by FRIDAY 28 SEPTEMBER to Elverina Johnson and Shaun Murgha. Our programming team will review the applications and advise if you have been successful by mid October.
The full program is still being put together, however Bands will be asked to perform for 20-30mins and will be paid $500 per band. Solo/smaller Acts will be asked to perform 2-3 songs and will be paid $80 per person.
Please supply them with the following:
– Act name + Members names + Lead contact for group
– Short bio (150 word)
– Instrumentation (eg 2 x singers + drums + guitar + bass etc)
– Using backing track (Y/N) – NB this needs to be provided by Fri 2 Nov.
STALL HOLDER CALL OUT
We are inviting local stall holders to register their interest by FRIDAY 28 SEPTEMBER to Lucresia Willet on 0447 235 043 or email@example.com. You will be notified if you have been accepted and allotted a position on site that is yours, along with set up details.
Food, Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Art and Info stalls are all encouraged to apply.
Yarrabah Aboriginal Shire Council will coordinate a series of sessions for those who wish to have a food stall, and do not have their Temporary Food Stall Licence.
The stall fee is $50 paid to Nulyssah at YASC Post Office. The Food Licence fee $150 (normal fee for full year) or $50 (special price for single event only) paid to Nulyssah at YASC Post Office on completion of training course and a certificate will be issued. Staff cooking facility will also need to be inspected prior to event.
EVENT CREW CALL OUT
Local members of the Community are invited to register their interest by FRIDAY 28 SEPTEMBER to Lucresia Willet on 0447 235 043 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The Event Crew will work with the Security, Site and Technical Team across a number of areas including parking and traffic management, cleaning, crowd control and event information.
You will need to be available across the weekend of the event, being Fri 2 Nov – Sat 3 Nov. This will be a paid opportunity ($300 per person).
SECURITY CALL OUT
We are inviting individuals interested in obtaining their event security license to register their interest by FRIDAY 28 SEPTEMBER to Darren Birt at Wugu Nyambil on email@example.com
